Public status, signed manifest, OpenAPI, Arazzo, and route quotes are free. No AssetFare API key, subscription, or MCP installation is required to request a quote.
The AssetFare service fee on every route is exactly 1 basis point (0.01%), rounded down in asset base units, with no service-fee maximum, at exactly one eligible successful atomic action. For example, the AssetFare fee is $10 on a $100,000 fee basis and $100 on a $1,000,000 fee basis. No public route has a zero AssetFare fee. Because multistep routes are non-atomic, a fee already collected by a successful early step is not automatically reversed if a later independent step fails.
The 1bp service fee is not the total cost. Circle CCTP (including any fixed forwarding fee), network, swap-pool, bridge, price-impact, Paymaster, and other provider costs are additional and borne by the caller; on small amounts a fixed forwarding fee can dominate. The v2 quote exposes the total token-path cost, expected receive, conservative minimum receive, and live availability. Use those totals to confirm a verified best-from recommendation; availability-only routes make no cheapest-price claim. A quote is an estimate and not an execution guarantee.
